Germany-Visit with the Sasse family

Yikes! Only a few weeks into this trip and I am so far behind in story telling. I will have to catch up with the rest of Spain and Berlin soon!

Visit with Sasse family near Hannover, Germany

Enjoying time with the Sasse family at their home near Hannover, Germany. We had a fun day in Hamburg where they shared sights and stories that made the history of the city come to life. In the sketch below, you can get a better idea of what the harbor area looked like when it was first built.

In their village of Burgwedel, I learned about grocery carts with scanners and a dairy farm with its own vending machine.

Today, we got lucky with another sunny day for a visit to Hannover. We found the oldest building in Hannover, built in 1566, one of the very few that survived the WWII bombings.
